While working at Ascentec Engineering I recreated a jig for drilling holes into metal stock. The original CAD files for their old jig had been lost, so I redesigned it based on the old jig. I added improvements, such as a replaceable wear plate and drainage slots for coolant.
- Designed in Solidworks.
- Manufactured from Aluminium, worked with machine programmer to create toolpaths.
- Reduced scrap rate on stock by 20% due to wear plate reducing bottom burrs.
